Vibration Analysis

ISO Category IV Vibration Analyst – Master – Part 1

This 8 day course is delivered in a hybrid format. Part 1 represents the first four days (equivalent) and is delivered via online learning. Part 2 is a public venue course, that runs four days, with an additional day at the end of the session for review and the exam. It is intended for people who are interested in the highest level of learning in vibration analysis.

You will learn advanced measurement signal processing techniques, including torsional vibration and cross-channel measurements, dynamics including mass/stiffness/damping and natural frequencies, modal analysis and operating deflection shapes, orbit and centerline analysis, rotor dynamics, correction techniques including isolation, damping, and tuned absorbers, and other advanced topics. Upon completing the course, you will be qualified to lead condition monitoring teams and will have a deep understanding of machine dynamics and failure modes. With your knowledge and qualifications you are able to design tests to solve difficult problems and identify underlying issues to prevent re occurrence. You will carry the highest regard in the field of machine condition monitoring.

You will leave the course with a solid understanding of:

  • Advanced signal processing
  • Cross channel measurements
  • Machine Dynamics
    • Mass/stiffness/damping
    • Natural frequencies / modes
  • Rotor / bearing dynamics
  • Resonance testing
    • Run-up/coast down tests
    • Impact tests

Most knowledgeable experts I’ve ever met

I wanted to thank Yellotec for presenting the most interesting course / career development programme that I’ve ever attended since finishing my university studies. Tjaart is a captivating and utmost professional course presenter and one of the most knowledgeable subject matter experts I’ve ever met, in any field. Even though our course was probably very basic if judged by industry professionals, even I as a layman could glimpse aspects of the depth of his knowledge when he answered questions posed by the more experienced students.
